The royalty of homecoming events was announced by Mr. Anderson, school superintendent, at the bonfire and snake dance Thursday September 24. The royalty was announced as follows: Terry Witter, queen, fleftl Gladys Pedersen labovel and Marjorie Erickson fright! as attendants. The girls were escorted onto the football field at half-time and the queen was crowned in front of the Newell rooting section. The royalty reigned at the dance after the game. HOMECCMI G September 25, 1958, the Newell High School held its traditional homecoming events. The Newell Panthers met the Sioux Rapids Indians in the evening game and won 7-0. After the game, the students and alumni enjoyed a fine dance in the Allee Memorial building where Frank Jonas and his band furnished the music.
