1980 NEWCOSEAN NEWCOMERSTOWN HIGH SCHOOL NEWCOMERSTOWN, OHIO IN MEMORIAM FRIENDS The day Is warm and the air is clear And I Teel so very near — Very near to someone true I hope that someone Is you. Time goes by — slowly by — I can only sit and sigh — Sighing — wishing — waiting — For the day I'm anticipating. Time goes by and Friendships grow And only the friends really know What makes a friend a friend Always and always until the end. Many lines have been said before Many things you can t ignore. Never, never let the feeling fade For we ve many creeks to wade. If this doesn't say or show us why, Then there s little hope for you and I — But I believe with all my heart. That true friends will never part. 2 Helen Bowling — Teapher and Friend 1957-1979 3 TABLE OF ADMINISTRATION...............................6 ADVERTISING ...........................152-175 ART CLUB ...................................82 BAND Concert...........................I 12-1 I 3 Marching............................88-9 I BASEBALL...............................128-129 BASKETBALL Boys'..............................108-109 Girls’ ............................100-103 B.O.E.......................................83 BUCKEYE J.V.S. Constantly running against time in order to meet deadlines, they took pictures, solicited ads. cropped pictures, lost things, found things, wrote little write-ups like this and then finally succeeded. Mr. Beckley and Mrs. Smith were our advisors, and anytime we fell behind, they always came up with the comforting words do it!’ We think we put together a fantastic yearbook and hope you all enjoy it. State Street Newcomerstown 498 8111 Best Wishes to the Class of 80 169 We, the daw of 1980, take with us many fond memories of our past twelve years — memories we will treasure for a lifetime. Through these years we have shared many ideas, joys, thoughts, and good times. However, our last year here is one we will forever cherish. Experiencing the thrill and sweat in the locker room after the last victory, marching in band for the last football game, and scoring the last two points ever for Net. High are all ideals that have a special place in our heart. Perhaps we will someday realize that growing up is only wishing you were young again. Saluting the Graduating Class of 1980 r V Dr. W. R.
