PHYSICAL EDUCATION The goal of the Physical Education department is to encourage students to develop themselves physically as well as mentally. The boys, instructed by Mr. Milburn, played various indoor and outdoor sports and were given skill tests throughout the year to show each student's improvement. The girls were taught rules and regulations of volleyball, basketball, and soccer by Miss Struchen and were offered the opportunity to compete in an area posture contest. HOME ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT Kathy Ervin, homemaker of the year, receives sewing instructions from Mrs. Swigert. Mrs. Marshall and Mrs. Swigert teach the Home Economics students the necessary knowledge for a successful home life by instructing the girls in good grooming, clothing and textiles, family living, child development, housing and home furnishings, and food preparation.
