CLASS WILL We, the members of the class of 1958, leave the following articles to the oncoming students. May they treat them with dignity. ARTICLE 1 I, Tom Polk, will my seat in psychology class to some sleepy junior. I, Blaine Tish, hereby will my Physics grade card to Mr. Hinds. I, Don Mulvane, leave dear old N.H.S. with what I came with. . .NOTHING. I, Dick Patton, leave Mr. Dunn's American Problems class with negative perspiration. No Sweat. I, Loveme Marlatt, leave my two brothers at the mercy of Mr. Dunn’s war stories. I, Virginia Heston, leave with great thanks to all teachers who made it possible for me to graduate. I, Jean Gray, will to my sister, Mary Jane, my seat in Driver's Ed. I, Patty Marstrell, will my four successive study halls to my sister, Peg. I, Sandra Sumers, leave my position as typist on the Newcosean Staff to any future senior. I, Judy Stewart, being the only baritone saxophone player, will my baritone to Leonhard Bonnell. (Blow hard Leonhard.) I, Sue Miller, will my quiet, girlish ways to Diane Palmer. I, Glenn VanVoorhis, will my ability to disrupt classes for student announcing to anyone who can get away with it. I, Larry Price, will my trombone playing to Billy McCulley. I, Bunk Dulaney, do hereby will Mickey Mayhew what little I know about English. I, Beverley Bowers, leave Newcomerstown High School to live a peaceful life. I, Phyllis Courtwright, will my seat in Mr. Dunn's second period study hall to anyone who likes to talk. I, Barbara Poorman, leave Mr. Dunn still saying Barbara, I didn't see your bright, cheerful face in study hall yesterday morning. I, Carla Crater, leave in an old Ford with a young man to get a middle-age spread. (Oh dear!) I, Patsy Ahle, will my seat by the window in 101 to the first one who gets to it. I, Carolyn Egler, will my cherry pie making ability to Martha Jean Dorsey. I, Pug Mayhew, do hereby leave my way with the girls to my brother, Skeeter. (Believe me he needs it.) I, John Mallett, will my ability to sleep in study hall to my brother, Jim. I, Judy Loader, will my seat in American Problems to Norma June Smith. Take care of it Norma June. I, Dick Stecker, leave my seat in Mr. Braun's study hall to sleepy Jim Creachbaum. I, Sandy Hickenbottom, leave my chair in band among all the boys to Sue Milburn. Come on Sue! I, Patti Johns, bequeath my high scholastic ability to anyone who can attain it. Good luck Ruby ! I, Walt Craigo, leave my comer by the telephone to George Whyde. I, Becky Leonhard, leave my Uncle Bob to the underclassmen. Use him in good health. I, Dolly Buss, leave my crown for the next lucky senior girls. I, Nancy Rogers, leave still wondering who will pester Melba next year. I, Linda Stocker, will my ability to get out of first period study hall to anyone who can get away with it. I, Marilyn Bordenkircher, leave Mr. Dunn still wanting to know about those jokes in American Problems class. I, Fred Nay, hereby will my seat in Bob Leonhard's study hall to anyone who is stupid enough to take it. I, Gary Paulun, leave Mr. Hinds in agriculture class still getting after the boys in the back row. I, Aaron Rothenstein, will my seat in American Problems to anyone who likes the Army. Huh, Mr. Dunn? I, Gretchen Ellis, will my ability to help the freshman girls sew and to help Mrs. Swigert to anyone lucky enough to get the job. I, Bill Albaugh, knowing no one worthy of my talents, will leave them to charity. I, Jean Pappas, will my ability to graduate in three years to whoever thinks they can get away with it. I, Betsy Stout, leave in pursuit of happiness in a gray and white Oldsmobile. I, Rebecca Kelly, will to anyone who can get by Mrs. Swigert in cracking their gum. I, Dan Loader, leave still wondering how Hinds figures his grades. I, Maxine Watson, will my seat in Bookkeeping to anyone unfortunate enough to get it. I, Cora Arth, leave my free sixth period to any lucky junior. 13

I, Gene Parks, leave throwing out a challenge of the future to Bob Robinson and Tom Atkinson, don't let me down fellows. I, Janet Boone, will my ability to get into homeroom just before the tardy bell rings to any junior who is slow enough to need it. I, Martha Murphy, leave my bass clarinet to some lucky clarinet player who likes to play the bass melodies. I, Diana Ross, bequeath my position as editor of the yearbook to some future senior. I, Bd Welsch, will all my brains to James VanSickle, who can use them. I, Dick Burky, leave my seat in advanced math and physics to John Murphy. I, John Davis, will my seat in homeroom to any junior lucky enough to get it. I, George Farris, leave John Watson and Pete Doss in the showers having a cold water fight. I, Carol Ann Rush, leave my seat in Shorthand II to Linda Kissell and Bonnie Crater. I, Melva Marquand, leave my seat in American Problems to my sister, Pearl. I, FloreneSchearer, leave to meet my favorite guy, Jim. I, John Watson, leave as I came, without a girlfriend. I, Larry Lewis, will my ability to throw chalk and duck erasers to Jerry Norman. I, Jim Tedrick, will my intelligence to Farrill Sharrock. I, Judy Dennis Moore, will my seat in American Problems to any junior girl unfortunate enough to get it. I, Patsy Devenport, leave still telling Bd Marlatt, I don't use hydrogen peroxide on my hair. I don't! I, Pat Walters, leave my CALORIE chart to Mr. Gary. I, Sharon Porcher, will my seat in room 102 to any junior lucky enough to get it. Good luck juniors! I, Sandra Peoples, will my weakness for taller boys to Judy Elliott. Take care of it Judy! I, Betty Wolff, leave. . .at last! ARTICLE II We, Sandra Sumers and Patty Marstrell, leave still trying to figure out how in the world Peggy, Barbara, and Gary will ever make it to school next year. We, Dolly Buss and Nancy Rogers, leave with this one word of advice Cheerleaders, never skip. We, Becky Leonhard, Carla Crater, and Dolly Buss, leave with Mr. Hinds grinning and handing us our physics grade cards. . .upside down. We, George Farris and John Watson, leave Mr. Morton mopping water out of the halls from our water fights after football practice. We, Dick Patton and Don Mulvane, leave our ability of shooting rockets in physics to anyone who can get away with it. We, Pat Walters and Carolyn Egler, leave Mrs. Swigert in home economics class regretfully. We, Becky Leonhard and Walt Craigo, leave our ability to get out of class to anyone lucky enough to have our position on the Newcosean Staff. We, Martha Murphy and Sandy Hickenbottom, leave our daily walks up town at noon to Karen Glazer and Brenda Hootman. We, Sandra Sumers, Carolyn Egler, Patty Marstrell, and Pat Walters, leave our seats in Bob Leonhard's study hall to Peggy, Fish, Diane, and Linda. We, Sandra Sumers and Patty Marstrell, leave good old N.H.S. regretfully. ARTICLE III We, the Seniors of room 102, leave Mrs. Phillips still telling us Take your seats please and trying to take attendance after the dismissal bell has rung. We, the Seniors of room 101, leave Uncle Bob Ruach still asking us to get our absence excuses in. We, the Seniors of room 105, warn anyone who gets in Mrs. Swigert's homeroom next year to dust off tables each morning or she will tell you to do it. We, the Senior girls of Shorthand 11 class, having good intentions, leave still unable to hand in a mailable letter.
