At the premier we decided to write you this letter and let you know what has happened. We were all at the famous premier of the movie Love is Strange written for 18th Century Wolf, by that wonderful author Jolene Show. We understand she got some ideas from our Psychology class. The producer was Don Buck Wilson and the director. Jack Tooly Wilson. Chauffeuring the guests was Jim McDonnell in hfs custom built limousine and for the other people coming in cabs, they were driven there by Harold Curly Stein. Among some of the guests were the famous hair stylist Georgina Brown and the make-up artist Marilyn Angle Norman. Cover girl of Modern Romance, Edna Heller and author of I Hate Men, Marilyn Brindley. Leading the famous Rock and Roll Band was Roland Shorty Scott with Blues Singer Darlene Thomas singing her version of Champagne, Champagne for Newcomers High. Members in the band include Hot Lips Larry Groff, Plink Plank Larry Maloy, Dizzy Fingers Marlene Baker and Galen Craigo, Tutti Fruittie Patsy Couts, Rummy Turn Turn Bob Cross. The cast of the movie is Jeanne Monroe Portz, John Brando Hart, Frank Presly Oldt. Coming back for the occasion were Ronnie Furbay, Terry Norman, Philip Arth, Vaughn Fairchild, who are all playing for the Cleveland Brown's. Great fight arose between the owner of K W Market, Gary King and the owner of the M K, John Little. The State Patrolman Donnie Kehl was called in. Until the ambulance got there nurse Carolyn Brown applied first aid. The reason the ambulance was delayed was because of hot roders Verna Brady, Dave Sweitzer, Norman Sondles and motor cyclists Larry Creachbaum and Don Watson. Also there c.i leave from West Point was General Ronnie Kehl. After the movie the guests journeyed to the restaurant owned by Bill Casey for a lovely dinner. Serving the dinner were Marilyn Folkert, Shirley Casteel, Mary Martin and Patsy Miller. Even after the wonderful dinner Jack Stoffer was seen chewing his fingernails, just as in the old days. At the restaurant several people gave interesting talks. Among these were My Life as a Farmer by that famous agriculturist John Shaw. Bill Russell spoke on True Confession's of a Milkman. Ruth Schlupp told of her new wonder drug for tired blond hair. A nursery was held at the restaurant. Ms. Evelyn Etter Hart, Janet Stonebrook Loader and Beverly Calhoun Shaffer, since they have several children of their own, volunteered to watch the other children. Those leaving their children were Sue Belt Bricker, Don Carrico, Arminda Forney, Wilma Garretson, Juanita King, Kenny Khune and Faye Mullet. Just as the party wos to break up several more members of the class arrived. Bob Woods, owner of the Baltimore and sales girls Shirley Shaffer, Rosalie Parks, Opal Plants and Carol Berg and also there were model Carole Postlewaite and the lady wrestler Jane Rothenstein. Those famous recording stars Marcella Newby and Pauline Harris came in to entertain us for awhile. The Myers brothers. Gory and Jerry were taking pictures at the party. Listening in on his ham radio at home was Jim Wolff. We also saw the columnist Jean Louella Rothenstein taking notes for her column in the movie book Modern Pictures and critics Dave Lawver and Gordon Ley were very busy with their assignment. Converted from tockle. Hote to lose Jim. Roland Scott E.—A speedy end who could catch passes, but this boy is still a year off. Hate to lose Roland. Terry Norman G.—Our best blocker and defense man. A good college prospect. Played most of the season in our opponents backfield. Blocked many extra points and punts during 1956. Our co-captain also voted most valuable lineman. Bill Russell T.—This milkman could flatten the opponent when he got tired being pushed around. Liked to play football. Wish we had Bill another season. Don Wilson QB.—Our signal caller that has a vocabulary out of this world. A good hard nose. We'll miss Don. Jack Wilson T.—Very versatile boy. Rough on both offense and defense. Played every minute the coach would let him. Had a head injury and tried to conceal it and play. Well behaved boy. Will miss him. Frank Oldt G.—Steady ploying guard. Backed the line on defense. We'd like to use him one more season. George Farris G.—A dependable boy who played quard and linebacker. Has a good football attitude. David Mayhew B.—This boy has had injuries his sophomore and junior years. We hope he stays together his senior year. John Mallet B.—Our hard hitting halfback who should go great guns his senior year. Ployed good defensive ball at halfback. Good attitude. John Watson G.—This boy learned fast. One of our hardest working boys. If each boy put forth the effort as did this boy, NCT would go unbeaten. His will to win and competitive spirit will be greatly missed. Don Wilson—Senior—A small but scrappy player—weak on offensive but his rebounding defensive play, and desire were very noticeable. Rol Scott—Senior—A good spot performer —best rebounder on the team—nervousness was his trouble. The West Lafayette game was his greatest. Gary King — Senior — inexperience hampered him, his steady improvement made him a consistent performer in the later half of the season, a good rebounder and steady scorer. Jim Wolff—Senior—His first year of basketball and this inexperience limited Jim's play, a hard worker, capable replacement, and faithful athlete. Bob Cross-Senior—Hard and willing worker developed into a capable replacement by mid season. His effort in the Xville game meant a great deal towards the victory. Dave Mayhew—Junior—Two bad knees hampered his play in the early season—his steady improvement was satisfying and made him a very capable replacement. His play in the Xville game helped bring a victory. He should have a good year next season. Walt Craigo—Junior—His first year in basketball mode it difficult for Walt—He developed a scrappy competitive attitude. Walt could moke it next year. Don Mulvane—Junior—Started slow but developed into a steady performer in second half of the season. Hard work and more desire should bring out his capabilities. Much is expected of him next year. 82 Jim Penrod—Junior—Led the team and county AA teams in scoring. Jim loves the game, his attitude, desire, and willingness make his the type of an athlete a coach wants. A litle self-confidence would make him one of the school's greats.
