Superintendent of Schools D. B. BOEDER The superintendent of schools is the chief executive of the school system. He makes recommendations to the Board of Education on the adopting of school policies when formulated by the board of education. He directs and assigns teachers and other employees of the schools under his supervision. He assigns pupils of the schools under his jurisdiction to the proper grades. He acts as purchasing agent in conjunction with the Board of Education in the securing of all school supplies. He furnishes educational and financial leadership to the Board of Education and the community. He appraises the work of the teachers and keeps the Board of Education informed regarding the work of the schools. SEVEN
