Her classmates notice that although she likes to talk in her classes and write notes in the study hall, she manages to keep her grades above the mar gin of safety. Besides being fond of night life, she is vice president of the Freshman Class. The queen was in the counting house, counting out her money. In this case, the queen is Frances Smith, and the money represents the coffers of the Freshman Class, over which she watches. Even with her studies and class office. Frances found time to sell Newcoseans to her classmates. James McFarland, too. seems to be fond of night life. He played football last fall and gained the nickname of “Dynamite. in his position of quarterback. Though he is small, he. like dynamite. packs a wallop. In his spare moments, he finds time to fill his office as Social Chairman for the Freshman Class.
