The crowning of the 1980 Jr. High Homecoming Queen marked the climax of another exciting Junior High Homecom- ing. As always, the classes were well represented by some of their most beautiful girls. The winner was Freshman Deana Ross, escorted by Eric Kammerlocher. The other Ninth grade candidate was Kristi Reed, escorted by Keith Bolles. The Eigth grade was represented by Laura Moore, escorted by Brett Farley, and the Seventh grade candidate was Rhonda Gilliam, escorted by Jeff Hale.

SOMETHING TO COME HOME FOR Sophomore Kathy Dean Junior Karrie Hicks The 1980 Homecoming Queen selection provided a lot of anxious moments and excitement for both the candidates and the students. Everyone could only guess as to whom the football team had chosen as Homecoming Queen. But at last, in the halftime ceremonies conducted during the Newcastle-Sulphur game, the new queen’s name was announced. Schelina Randleman was crowned, and much to her surprise, was kissed not only by her escort, Bill Coats, but also by the other six seniors on the football team.
