“HAPPINESS Happiness has different meanings to each individual. For a child in grade school who has had very little experience with life, it may be only a simple recess. As he grows older, his ideals change; happiness may be the big game, raising money for a banquet, or ordering his class ring. When he nears the end of his Senior year, he finds a totally new meaning. It is not just the thought of finally finishing school, but the thought of all the memories to be forever cherished. This year has been a year for many of us to remember. We, the Annual Staff, hope that RACER 1971 will always keep fresh in your memory the many activities you have enjoyed. 3

BOARD OF EDUCATION Mr. James Griffith (President), Mr. Gene Smith (Clerk), Mr. Eugene Garrett (Vice President), Mr. Everett Little (Member), Mr. Carl Fancher (Member). “SCHOOL BOARD HAPPY WITH STUDENT A ND PLANT INCREASE” Mr. Eugene Garrett, local dairy- man and housing developer, is serving his fifth year on the Board. He presently holds the office of Vice President. Mr. Carl Fancher is employed by the Santa Fe Railroad in Purcell. He has served on the Board since 1970. Mr. Everett Little is entering his fourth year of service on the Board. He is employed by Okla- homa Natural Gas in Oklahoma City; in January of this year he won re election to the Board of Education. Mr. James Griffith, Newcastle dairyman and rancher, is serving his twelfth year on the Board. He currently holds the office of Presi- dent. 5 Mr. Gene Smith, Board Clerk, is holding his seventh year of office. He is employed at Will Rogers Field in Oklahoma City.
