SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Garry Garrett, Vice President; Mr. Joe Cox, Sponsor; Shirley Jones, Secretary-Treasurer; Lonnie Rob- ertson, President; Debra Weather- ford, Reporter; Mrs. Linda Young, Sponsor. There are 32 students in the 1971 Senior Class. The Valedictorian is Val- erie Hammond, and the Salutatorian is Debra Klopfenstein. Five girls and five boys played on the basketball teams; four of them made All-Conference. Elev- en girls participated in FHA; and from this eleven, five have served as officers. Eleven boys participated in FFA, and six have held offices. Three FFA seniors are candidates for the State Farmer Degree. There have been twelve students hold class offices. Craig Shaw, Lonnie Robertson, and Marcie Mays were nominated as Out- standing Teenagers of America. Four seniors were voted favorites of the high school student body; they were Dianne Carr, Lonnie Robertson, Sharlotte Stan- ford, and Craig Shaw. Dianne was also elected as FFA Sweetheart, and Lonnie was elected as FHA Beau. Five seniors have won medals at the interscholastic meet in Ada. Ten of the seniors have attended Newcastle School all 12 years. The class has given two plays, one in their junior year entitled Room No. 13, and one in their senior year entitled Auntie's Money.
