Miss Annie Huckaby was the first teacher. Pupils were G.P. Thomas, Roy Foster, Emmit Huckaby, Roy Rowntree, Donnie Thomas, Dewey Foster, Joy Huckaby, and R.'T.Thomas. The building was built by E, A.Fbster and was located northeast of his home. It was later moved to W.IL Thomas' farm to be used as a kitchen. Its present location is on the Choctaw Place, residence of A. O. Carlson, and is used as a smoke house. 26
