K 774774 Perhaps we remember Mr Rupert Nock better as a pruncupal of Newburyport Hugh School who proved to be a wuse advuser and constant fruend rather than un hus present posutuon of Superuntendent of Schools Mr Nock graduated from Newburyport Hugh School un l924 and wull be well remembered as the captaun of the football team of l923 Hus educatuon contunued at Norwuch Unuversuty Brown Unuversuty where he earned a Bachelor of Phulosophy degree New Hampshure Unuversuty Summer School and Boston Unuversuty where he obtauned a Master s degree un Educatuon After completung hus extensuve educatuon he began hus career un educatuon Hus furst posutuon was a teacher coach un Marshfueld Hugh School un Marshfueld Massachusetts Later he become pruncupal a posutuon he held for ten years In l94O he returned to hus Alma Mater un the capacuty of pruncupal Shortly afterward he uouned the Army Aur Force as an Intellugence offucer a posutuon he held for three years ln l945 he returned to N H S agaun ln l946 he was appounted to the offuce of Superintendent of Schools a posutuon that he stull holds Foremost among hus hobbues are hus two sons He also enjoys gardenung and athletucs l l B F' -H K. ss 'Q , hi' - 2 .
