ln previous years, the Newbury Park FroshfSoph x-country team had gone un- defeated in league competition. The pres- sure was on for the boys when enthusias- tic coaches and fellow runners encour- aged them to carry out the unmarred re- cord. The team did carry the triumph one year further to make it the sixth win in a row. When asked how he felt about the competition, the FroshfSoph runner Mike Everett said, l figured we had a good chance, but we were threatened after T.O. beat us, but it made us work harder to beat them in league finals.
