A program was offered at New- bury Park High School to help the students and the mentally retarded at Camarillo State Hospital. The program was referred to as High School Without Walls . The pro- gram consisted of two 17-week series to coincide with the school semesters. Twenty students attend- ed from four schools, making a total of 80 students for each series. In re-- turn they would receive ten credits. The student volunteer would travel to the Hospital and help out with recreation, sports, personal grooming, academics, such as learning names, colors and num- bers.
