Homecoming, Christ mas dance, Senior Ball which was a cruise around Sweatheart dance, and the Jr. fSr. Prom. The biggest success was the 50's day and the 50's dance featuring Mad Wheeles and Lugnuts. It's Friday! Let's Celebrate was the 1975 Yearbook theme. NPHS had a lot to celebrate about in 1975. The Bond was passed to build the rest of the School. The kids at NPHS had a lot to do with getting the bond passed. The new buildings will be finished in Jan- uary, 1976. The Basketball team went to the quarter finals in CIF beating the top ranked schools. Celebrate! The year started off with the Welcome Dance and went right into a successful Homecoming. The Christmas Dance, put on by the Girls' League, was also a success. Many other activities, such as J r X Sr Prom, Senior Ball, 50's Dance, and 50's Day, Graduation and Gradnite were all a suc- cess. The marquee in front of NPI-IS was fi- nally finished and dedicated to those who had past away during their stay at NPHS. 3

Expressions area S f The 197 2 Pawprint captured the many changing expressions of the year. Picnic day on the football field during Homecoming was a new innovation. An ASB car rally was initiated. The groundwork for open campus was being set with Sven Larson heading the ASB. Campus sculpture and painted murals decorated the NPHS grounds. It was the beginning of the construction of a huge outdoor kiln for ceramics. The year was highlighted by league winning sports and two spring musicals: H1100 in the Shade and Charlie Brown. 1972 was also the year of the big gas leak which left the school with muddy trenches and freezing classrooms for a major portion of the winter months.
