Oh, so that is Larry O'Connorl That's it, no more. But ludy, I need the picture today, my Pawprint editors Terry Hall and Sara Schrader. d adllne was yesterday. This was our yearbook, Pawprint '75. It's come a long way from the ninety-six page book of 1968 and so has the school. The close of another school year has come. The Seniors of '75 have been ousted by the incoming seniors of '76, but memories will stay and this is how it was. Our Freshmen year saw the birth of the swimming pool, a pool which seemed to take forever to build. We even got a day off when the workmen broke the water main. The freshman Homecoming float that year was one which probably will not be forgotten, no matter how hard we try. It's the only float that started out as a moon and ended up as a scoop of ice cream. Ours was the last class to ever be subjected to Slave Day. This was also the last year that the boys restroom in building C was in one piece. As sophomores we were the Hairest class ever and the local barbers and beauty shops will always think so. This was also the year we played war games on the quad. The entire campus looked like World War I France criss-crossed with Foxholes from the broken gas line. Most of us had running bets on whether or not we would make it through the day without falling into one of those trenches. 1972-'73 the year of no heat in 288 Ads-Index the classrooms, and no hot water in the showers. Spring came and the ASB convention that lasted FOREVER. Cold McDonald's hamburgers and watered down orange drink made it all worthwhile??? lunior year and the class of '75 was in the dark with daylite savings time in lanuary to help the energy crisis we needed flashlites to find our first period class. The school was saving energy, too, no lights!! And what can you say to a P.E. class playing football in the darktt We were saved from the Energy Crisis then Watergate. We bid good-bye to the class of '74. So there we were, Seniors. The entire school emersed into a school bond election. The class went out and showed the community we cared. With the overpowering sound of Beach Baby and as we were all California Dream'in 1975 was the year of the surfer. The class float depicted a beach scene complete with sand and empty beer cans. All in all the class of '75 is unique. We've never seen our school in one piece. With the swimming pool, the gaslines, this year the mar- que and additions to the school the class of '75 I would like to express my gratitude to the two responsible for our extensive pictorial 1975 yearbook. A special tribute goes to Larry O'Con- nor and his studio and ludy Francesconi our overworked student photographer. Even those working on the yearbook staff frequently overlook and neglect to be grateful for the many hours donated by the photographer, the real workhorse behind the annual. I say thank you for aiding in the production of this 1975 Pawprint. Sincerely, K. A. Colell Yearbook advisor will survive. Changes have been numerous. We said goodbye to Ms. Padden and Mr. Tapper and we welcomed Ms. Armstrong and Mr. Benefield, tBut we said goodbye to him soon afterl and found sociological significance for Mr. K. When all is said and done we will miss the smell of burning trash cans, the games, the quad, chilli-macaroni, iitterbuggen' with Snotty Scotty and the Hankies, the friends, the goodtimes and the bad times. Now as editors of Pawprint '75 we would like to thank O'Connor Brothers Photography, Don Kille our publishing representative, the ad- ministration and faculty. Thanks to Mrs. Bran- ham for her moral GJ support, her sense of humor and her house on the beach. We are es- pecially thankful to Mrs. Colell for enduring our continual harrassment, problems, deadlines, and our antics. Good luck class of '75 you will be remembered Keep smiling, Terry Hall and Sara Schrader Editor Pawprint '75
