Richard Freed Gary McGinnis No comment. No comment. Fine Art , as Norm Sanford Marilyn Simone No comment. No comment. Kristi Colell My most humorous experience 1974, in two words, is Donald Dubnow. Dennis Reed, D.C. After explaining to a class that we only had a limited number of rulers which must be properly cared for, I heard a loud snap. As much to his own surprise as to mine, a student in the front row had broken a yardstick over his own head. Pete Fisher, Music D.C. Six days in beautiful Hawaii with 140 terrific students and a great half-time show has to be my most memorable teaching experience. Ron Shannon No comment. Art Maldonado Students I will never forget are: Anita, Lynn, Tracy, Gary, Paula, Kim, Carrie, Denise, Wendy, Tammy, Maurya, Phil and Bill-and not necessarily in that order. Lorie Ponzuric My most memorable events at Newbury Park High School have been the opening nights of each of the plays. After all of the time spent in rehearsal, and all of the nervous butterflies before the shows, the applause at the final curtain is most appreciated. Bob Valentine No comment. Art Department Dear Mom, The art department at this school is really great! They have film festivals every month: Betty Boop, Horror movies, and stuff like that. In December we decorated Fazio's Market for Christmas. There are lots of great courses to take, like print- making and photography. The photo lab has been improved, and now people with cameras are all over school, and developing very well. Many students won awards at the Pageant of the Oaks con- test for their work in painting, drawing, and photography. All of the art teachers are back, including Mrs. Colell, who took last year off to have a baby! She enjoyed the vacation so much, she's taking another. All her vacations seem to come with babies. I think I'll take art next year. Your son, Herman Music Department The music department comes in assorted sized and shapes, 150 band members and attached units marched in parades and performed half-time shows, while 85 Black Orpheus members gave their talent to musical shows throughout the year from Back-to- School Night through the Spring Show. Others, such as the stage band, have performed at various school activities in concert, and hosted their own lazz Festival. Faculty 151

David answers, Hwell, Mr. Thomas, I don't think I know either. lim Wilkes At the end ol my third year of teaching, after putting up with and then dealing with students shooting rubber bands in class, my geometry class presented to me a wooden plaque award for patience.
