Coach Merrill and his 1975 team The mighty panther team led by Kenny Lemon. Manager Tim Dourghty making his usual trip to the drinking foun- tain. The 1975 panther baseball team had a lot to work for after the 1974 team's victory in the Marmonte League. Last year's team had a record of 19-5 and went into the second round of CIF. This years team had five retur- ning lettermen including All League Choice Ron Kunisaki. Coach Merrill had a young team and a very inexperienced one. He was satisfied with the overall improvement over the season. This years team had young pitchers compared with last years Geoff Combs, Bill Schopp and the Most Valuable Player in the League Mark Hendershied. The 1975 Panther pitchers included Scott Krving, Ran- dy Doner, coming up from the l.V. team, Steve Mazucca, who also plays first base, and Russ Zabel, also from the l.V. Team. Yet in the long run, the 1975 Panther Baseball Team did their best to follow in the paw prints of the '74 Marmonte League Champions. Varsity Basebal
