Featured soloists in the MESSIAH are baritone, Mr. Gert Muser, voice teacher at California Lutheran Collegeg contralto, Mrs. Betty Clement, art instructor, pianist, Cathy Conrad: sopranos, JoLynn Hass and Julie Cunnington, academy seniors, and tenor, Mr Arthur Tappen, boys' dean. Time makes no difference. Whatever the century, wherever the place, Christmas is the holiday season of seasons. It is the time when the hearts of men are turned in deepest gratitude to the Babe that gave them all they have. At the student's home away from home this significance is perhaps sensed most during the Mes- siah , around the Christmas tree, or iust watching the happy faces of students. They have ioy, they have reverence, they have unselfishness. For His sake may this spirit continue throughout the year. ln most of the world the CHRISTMAS season is the highlight of the year, especially at NPA. The girl's dorm TREE is being decorated by the officers of the girls' club while Julie Cunnington leads the rest of the girls in singing Christmas carols. Q Ha -N' gqfvfsi'
