Vigorous training and much practice pre- cede the day of the annual SA picnic. Competition among classes in such events as the mile run, shot put, high iump, baseball throw, 100-yard dash, and var- ious runs and other events brings points to the first, second, and third-place win- ners of each event. Points are tallied at the end of the day and the winning class is awarded the SA trophy. The Student Association is the main out- let for organized social activity of the campus. The officers are elected at large from the student body twice a year, for a term of one semester. These officers help plan such activities as the annual school picnic, the campaign - which this year was devoted to the raising of funds for a new school bus, and parties and banquets. The association not only provides social activity for the students, but also trains them for positions of responsibility now and after graduation.
