The Student Association is the main out- let for organized social activity of the campus. The officers are elected at large from the student body twice a year, for a term of one semester. These officers help plan such activities as the annual school picnic, the campaign - which this year was devoted to the raising of funds for a new school bus, and parties and banquets. The association not only provides social activity for the students, but also trains them for positions of responsibility now and after graduation. SA sponsors variety of student activities DISNEYLAND trip is the 3rd prize award in the bus campaign. Donna Nelson, Marilyn Stoops and Marilyn Banik enioy a visit with Mickey Mouse in Adventure land. Those who are qualified to go on an all- expense-paid, three-day SAN FRANCISCO TRIP agree that it was well worth the time and work they spent raising S150 for the new school bus. The breathless spectators sigh audibly as Tim Rapp, iunior, clears the bar in the HIGH JUMP competition. A pi ni brings Junior victor . Vigorous training and much practice pre- cede the day of the annual SA picnic. Competition among classes in such events as the mile run, shot put, high iump, baseball throw, 100-yard dash, and var- ious runs and other events brings points to the first, second, and third-place win- ners of each event. Points are tallied at the end of the day and the winning class is awarded the SA trophy.
