2062716 Row l--Angie Colagiovanni, Bertha Marx, Deloras Williams, Alberta Divoky Row 2--Marilou Portman, Liz Scafe, Ginny Fix, Carol Seddon, Nancy Portman Row 3--Margie Bizjak, Carolyn Hadfield, Esther Borsi, Mrs. Christine Keller, advisor The first Girls' Athletic Association of Newbury was formed under the direction of Mrs. Christine Keller in the early part of October. Sixteen members from the 9-12th grades were chosen by Hrs. Keller and recommendations from the office. The election of officers was held and they were asfollowsx President, Liz Scafeg Vice President, Deloras Villiamsg Secre- tary, Harilou Portman, Treasurer, Bertha Marx. Our activities during the year were arranging t ournamen t games between the physical education classes, staging a play day in which all the schools in the county participated, and helping Hrs. Keller duringthe course of the year in her physicd. education classes. We went bowling every other Sunday as a group for an outside activity. This organization has had much success in its first year of existance.

At the first meeting officers were elected as follows: President, Jerry BejHL Vice-President, Jim Truesdell, Secretary-Treasurer, Douglas Helfrich. Our firdsundertaking was a Turkey Raffle hawhioh two turkeys were given away. The Club cleared a little over S300 on this project which paid for the new Junior Varsity Uniforms. The rest of the year the Club spent its time planning future activities.
