Officers were: President, John Bondg Vice-President, Liz Scafe, Secre- tary, Virginia Fixg and Treasurer, Lou Hogye. The advisor was Miss Helen Demchak. The Student Council acquired the jukebox and records for the school and set up the Hall Monitor System. A Valentine raffel and two bake sales were held to raise money. School pennants and stickers were also sold by the group. John Bond, Liz Scafe, Lou Hogye, and Miss Demchak attended the Nth Annual Student Council Conference held at Miami Uni- versity, Oxford, Ohio in April.

2062716 National Honor ooieiyl Row l--Jeni Soplata, Bertha Marx, Carol Stetina, Mary Ann Phan, Eleanor Campbell Row 2--Sally Blair, David Ogden, Dick Baskin, Jerry Spear, Nancy Oehlscblaeger, Mrs. Dorothy Olmstead The National Honor Society started its fifth year in Septem- ber of 1956 under the sponsorship of Mrs. Dorothy Olmtead. Officers elected for the year were President--Mary Ann Phan, Vice President--Eleanor Campbell, and Secretary-Treasurer--Nancy Oehlschlaeger. One of the activities the Honor Society participated in was a pot luck supper and trip to the Playhouse in Cleveland to see 'Teahouse of the August Moon' along with all the Geauga County Honor Societies. The initiation banquet was held May 6, 1957 for the new mem- bers in the Honor Society.
