6 M115 Q 1 Back in Newbury Phyllis B iggs has a fabulous shop for evening clothes. The secret to her success is that she makes her dresses completely upside-down. Then when they are turned right-side-up-- presto a Briggs gown. New there is Roy Kure working on roofs. Newbury is famous be- cause of its outstanding roofs made from a new product which he has discovered and patented. There is a little poem about him: 'Up on the roof-top with a pot of tar, is old Roy Kure--man, he'1l go fern. Now we are passing the largest dairy farm in the world owned by Jim Vins and Lyman Davis. Lyman said he'd never be a farmer but I guess the call of the barn was irresistable. That figure over there in the field is Ted Schienke painting. Ted decided to become an artist after all the work he did on the Clarion. He is married now and has eight children. Going a little farther we see Ginny Frost on her knees begging her husband, John, to buy her a washboard because the rocks in the stream near their house are all worn out. Irene Byler has just driven up and is now asking Ginny to watch her four children while she goes to see Verne. Irene, you see, drove Verne crazy and he had to be placed in an institution. Bhrilou Portman has been WSwimming Champion of the World' since 1960. She would have made it in 1959 but when she got to the contest she discovered she had forgotten her suit so she was dis- qualified. Last week Marilou accomplished an unbelievable feat-- she swam the Atlantic Ocean in three weeks. Her cousin Fred is an architect. He get his ideas from some of the subjects he took while in school. Fred's slogan is 'No two houses aliken and so far he has really lived up to it. After eight years, Jack Swann has gotten a job driving the paddy wagon for the Geauga County Sheriff. After riding in it so Gften he thought it would be nice to drive it. His assistant is Chuck Evans who also owns the Greasy Spoon Restaurant situated along the new Freeway that runs through Newbury. Bertha Marx, after her term as Editor of the Clarion decided to be a reporter. Through the years she has worked her way up to copy girl and hopes to be a cub reporter by 1977. After finishing four years at Kent State, Jackie Blase is now the Dean of Men at Harvard. This is one girl that will never change o Liz Scafe is a famous chi1dren's photographer. Deloras Williams is employed as her nbirdien because of her talent for making faces. To improve her work, Liz sits in the corner and pretends she is a camera during her spare time. Pat Jackson is Tennis Champion of the World. While at college Pat became interested in tennis and has been playing ever since. Pat married her high school sweetheart and they have three children

061756 I 1 Louis Hogye is a full-fledged veterinarian and after hours he practices operating on Howard Kuhen. Howard has bought his own private race track on which only Newbury boys are allowed to drag. Jo Ann Bond decided, after two years at Kent, that she didn't want to be a teacher. So, after eight years of hard work, Jo has been promoted to head dishwasher at the Manor House. This is alright with her husband Wayne, except that their house is getting crowded from dirty dishes. Jeni Soplata is still engaged to Neal. She refuses to get married until they have S5,ooc in the bank. 're help make this money, Jeni is working as a weight lifter in Bill Fe1berg's carnival Bill liked carnivals to much he decided to buy one so he could ride on the merry-go-round for nothing. Let's stop in Shaker Heights to see Doug Frank and Ken Lewis. They are bachelors and live in a big house. They are coaches at Newbury and have the best team since 1950. Ve stopped in to say 'Hin and the door was answered by their butler Michael Uaxler. Guess what was on the radio! Eleanor Campbell, Jackie Tracy, and Mary Ann Phan singing 'When Irish Eyes Are Cryingn. They are known as Passion, Pride, and Prejudice.
