JUNICR CLASS HISTORY This is the history of one of the largest classes ever enrolled in the Newburg 9 1 We started to high members enrolled in our ened at the prospect of our four year period of High School--the Junior class of school in the year of l9u2. We had 5o class. Some of us were a little fright all the things that might occur during higher learning, and all of us a little proud of the fact that we were now starting to high school. The officers of our Freshman class were: President--Warren Roach Vice--President--Wendell Jordan Secretary--Suezanne Roach Treasurer--Martha Tyler Our Sponsor was Mrs. Nancy Jane Staggs. t When we came back the following year of h3, Several of our had classmates of the previous year did not return, but we a few new students to enroll. e This year we were Sophomores and we were quite pleased at the thought of no longer being the greenest class in high schoo This year our Class Sponsor was Mr. Durham, and our class officers were: President--Wendell Jordan Mice-President--Eugene Wait Secretary--Rosalie Cook Treasurer--Dolly Roberts Now we are Juniors. Upper Classmenl We have found that high school is not the trying ordeal that we had feared as freshmen, but a place to make friends and have fun, as well as to learn. A We have two sponsors this year. Mrs. Noland and Mrs. Durham. Our class officers are: President--Martha Tyler Vice-President--Nadine Boudinot Secretary--Bill Reed Treasurer--Peggy Spradling This year we are not only one of the largest classes in school, but the most mischievous. 1
