we Cfarioicaf The Classical Club of Newberry High School, sponsored by the American Classical League, is composed of Latin students of the ninth and tenth grades whose average grades in the course must be B and above. The club meets monthly during activity period. The purpose of the organization is to encour- age the study of ancient languages, literature, and art. For this reason, during the meetings, there is usually a play about Greek and Roman mythology, presented by the members. In March each year, the members go to the Latin Forum at Winthrop College, Rock Hill, S. C., where all the Latin students from the state gather for the annual meeting.
