FRESHMAN CLASS Ken Overton, Maryanne Skokan, Mary Sue Twenge, Merlin LaJoie, Mike McCullough The freshman class led a very successful and eventful year under. the leadership of Mike McCullough. They presented a one-act play and held their class party in the fall. Helping run the student store was the mam money-raising project for the freshmen. The frosh showed good sportsmanship and mighty lung power on their dress-up day! In their gunny sacks and mismatched shoes they could be heard shouting their Hail, almighty senior, cry six blocks away at noon! As the largest class to enter Newberg high with an enrollment of l76, they really rocked the bleachers at pep assemblies. They displayed good school spirit at games, too.
