IN MEMCDRIAM I l LLGYD G. MILLISOR Mr. Lloyd G. Millisor, retired head of the Commercial Department of Newark High School, passed away in his home on West Church Street, No- vember 3, 1945. News of his death was received with sincere regret by the faculty and students of Newark High School. Mr. Millisor Iirst taught in Madison, Indiana, but in 1906 he came to New- ark High School as a teacher of com- mercial subjects and as coach of ath- letics. He retired in August, 1945. Mr. Millisor enjoyed teaching book- keeping and shorthand. He did much to improve the standards of the com- mercial department while he was its head. His greatest interest was in preparing the student for his work after graduation. His friendly manner and personal interest in each pupil re- sulted in the cooperation he received from his students and in the excel- lence of their preparation for the busi- ness world. RETIRED MR. KDSEPI-I PRIEST It takes more than excellent teach- ers and intelligent pupils to make a superior school. Even the proverbial Mlogi' has to be kept clean. It takes physical equipment, and this must be kept in good condition. Thus We pay honor to a man who for over a quarter of a century was custodian of the high school and who was obliged to look after every detail of the physical equipment so that the mental and spiritual could better flourish. This person, Mr. joseph Priest, earned through retirement, a Well-earned va- cation, and both teachers and pupils Wish for him many years of happiness. Page Twenty Seven
