Page Twenty-TWO FQREWORD Our country has just emerged vic- toriously from its bloodiest War in his- tory. Everyone devoted his time and effort to the winning of the War. N OW that hostilities have ceased, everyone is expected to Work just as hard for the preservation of lasting peace. With this in mind, We of the Annual Stall have chosen for our theme, the change from war to lasting peace. This being our theme, our feature picture, Mr. Boyd Welcoming Mr. Stewart Cox back from the service, is typical of the change being made by millions of people.

DEDICATION MILDRED A. HAWKE The nineteen hundred and forty-six Reveville Annual is respectfully dedi- cated to Miss Mildred Hawke, member of the English department of Newark High School. Miss Hawke received her Ph. B. degree from Denison University. She was associated with the Etna High School and Newton Township School in St. Louisville, Ohio, before coming to Newark High School in 1918. ' In addition to her teaching, Miss Hawke has been very active in Girl Reserve work, having served as adviser to this organization for the past nineteen years. Her contributions to our school system and student body are greatly appreciated. Miss Hawke plans to retire in the near future. She will continue to make her home with her sisters in St. Louisville.
