BAR IIA U On January sixth, the Senior Class sponsored a square dance for all CASizens. Despite the rain, the Washington Place Lounge was packed with bluejeans and calico skirts that sashayed at top speed to Fred Reicke's corn throwing three piece band. Beside swinging their Honolulu babies and ducking for the oyster, the dancers were intermittenly refreshed with cider and donuts. Mr. Eugene Cross's chaperone smile broke into a hearty laugh when Mel Alboum slipped and skittered away across the floor during a fast reel. Phyllis Cohen's impromptu performance of the Charleston moved the era up from the 1840's to the 192O's. The pennies thrown her by the ap' preciative audience were ceremoniously presented by the senior class president, Edwin Ranzenhofer. E A final square of Good Night, Ladies brought l'afTaire to a close and the happy, but exhausted dancers went into the rain and home.
