OCTOBER 19, 1949 . . . Dr. Frank BUSINESS UNCH 0 C0 FERE CE The Business Luncheon Conferences, a unique part of the business student's education, supplying those necessary elements of education not obtainable in the class room, were inaugurated in 1946 by Dean George Esterly and the faculty of the School of Business Administration. Six conferences are held during the year at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark and attendance is required of all second year students. The conferences affords the opportunity to- the student to widen his circle of acquaintances as prominent leaders in government and business attend these sessions and sit with the students. The students also gain poise and assurance by meeting and talking to these successful business ,men which contributes to the development of character and personality of the future business man and community leader. The meeting is presided over by students who act as toastmaster and chairman while table hosts receive and entertain the guests.
