IGMA BETA CHI Following its policy of social, athletic and educational activities, Sigma Beta Chi, the oldest fraternity on Campus, opened the 1949 fall semester with an intensive pledge cami paign. The fraternity also participated in InterfFraternity athletics including football, bowling, softball and table tennis. The social calendar included parties on Hallowe'en, New Year's Eve and St. Valentine's day. On February 14th, Sigma Beta Chi held its annual Induction Dinner at the Savoy Plaza in East Orange. Guest speakers for the evening were Dean George Esterly and Dr. Israel Stamm.
