WIIME ' SSOClA'l'l0 Upon entering the Newark Colleges, every woman student is automatically eligible to become a member of the Women's Assof ciation. Organized to promote friendship among the small group of women students enrolled at the. College, the group has materially helped the new women students in acclimating themselves to life at the Newark Colleges. The activities of the group were extensive this year. A Freshman Tea designed to welcome all new women students opened the season. The annual Christmas Party was a tremendous success with recordfbreaking crowd at thegaily decorated Student Center to receive gifts from Santa Leader and listen to the Glee Club render the most beautiful and famous Christmas Carols,g dancing, and refreshments climaxed the evening. The annual talent Show at the YMCA revealed many potential stage personalities and a series of explorers' picnics made up of faculty and students, afforded many happy Sundays. UN MIIIIEL ASSEMBLY 'Morton Bienstock Ellen Heller Louis Hen-ing Irving Pawa . . . .Sidney Zebel For the third consecutive year, the Newark College of Arts and Sciences was represented at the United Nations Model General Assembly which is sponsored by the colleges and universities of the Middle Atlantic area. Each school selects a small group of competent students to represent the international position of a particular nation at the Assembly. This year the Newark delegation presented and defended the international pointfoffview and aspirations of Byelo Russia. Topics of international stature were discussed at the Assembly at the City College of New York in a manner closely paralleling that which is employed by the United Nations. Treaties, security, and atomic energy were the main topics discussed. 123
