Doctor Frederick J. Gaudet, of the Stevens Institute of Technology, spoke on hypnosis. Doctor Samuel Kutash, serv' ing the Veterans' Administration in Newark, discussed the projective techniques used in psychology. Films explaining the procedures of hypnotism and its use in clinical work proved to be interesting and entertaining. ITICAL CIE CE CL To foster an active interest in government and to cultivate and encourage the student body to learn more about the functions and makefup of their government are the main purposes of the newly organized Political Science Club. The main event of the season was a Held trip to Flushing, Long Island, to watch history in the making at the United Nations Assembly. The Club has spent much time setting up a program for next year which includes field trips and lectures by prominent men in government. Ullll ' CHESS ULUB The Queen's Men Chess Club has developed a line team of students adept in the playing of this ancient game. Friendly play and instruction are the programs for weekly meetings. This year competitive matches with the Faculty have been held as well as matches with Princeton, Seton Hall, Fordham, Stevens Institute of Technology, and Newark College of Engineering. The highlight of the season was the simultaneous exhibition matches and special lectures given by Isaac Kashdan, the former United States chess champion. President ..... Vice-President ..,.
