M SIC Student interest in good music is the watch' word of the Music Society. At its weekly meet' ings the group attempts to introduce the listener to the enjoyment of classical music. Recordings of popular operas such as the Cavalleria Rusticana and La Boheme were part of this year's program. Before the Christmas holidays the group journeyed to New York to hear a pres' entation of Handel's Messiah. Headquarters sends some interesting news to NCRU. ATIO AL TUBE T SSUUIATIU The National Students Association is a nationf wide organization of almost four hundred college student bodies which are represented by local com' mittees. The Association was created to provide a medium to foster the cultural, social and educa- tional advancement of students the world over. This year the Newark Colleges of Rutgers University set up a CommuterfSurvey Committee to begin a study which will ultimately determine how many students in the state travel to school and what means of transportation they use. These statistics will be presented to the Public Utilities Board for the purpose of obtaining lower commuter' rates for students. The International Affairs Committee with the support of the Newman Club and Alpha Phi Omega, formulated and put into action a plan of enlighten' ment on international problems through films and lectures. EWMA CL ll Organized for the primary purpose of stimulating the inf tellectual, social and religious development of the Catholic student, the Newman Club has engaged in a variety of activities including two formal Communion Breakfasts, a joint picnic with the Newman Club at New Brunswick, two basketball teams in the school's intraf mural league, and a bowling group. The highlight of the year was a threefday Province Convention held in New York City where-many members heard Monsignor Fulton J.
