DEDICATION The 1967 Arcadian Staff would like to express its gTatitude to a man who has done so much to aid the Newark School System, Mr. Norman R. Kelley. The yearbook staff wishes to dedicate this year’s ARCADIAN to Mr. Kelley, a man who has served as Principal and Superintendent of Schools since 1944.

FOREWORD The Editors and Staff of the 1967 yearbook have endeavored to make the ARCADIAN a successful record of the year's events. We now present it to you the faculty and students of Newark High School. The staff has chosen Emotion” as its theme, which seems only fitting: to capture the events and feelings which have surrounded the year. To the seniors, it is a close to four wonderful •''years and a beginning to a new life. To the juniors, it is the ending to a most hectic but enjoyable year To the sophomores, it is a chance to develop their minds and contribute to the school. To the freshman class, it is a realization of the importance of high school, and the joy of no longer being the underclassmen.
