STUDENT CONGRESS The Student Congress is the legislative body of the student government, having representation from each homeroom . One of its duties i s to monitor lunch lines. It also sponsors activities and drives carried out in the school, such as the Care Drive and the Community Chest Drive. The Student Congress also sponsors a war orphan and encourages penpals . The Congress members report the happenings of each meeting to their homerooms. FRONT ROW: DeWispelaere, Lyon, Farrell, Edgett. SECOND ROW: Houghton, Hall, Secretary; Renick, President; Marsh, Vice-President; Miss Turner. THIRD ROW: Hallagan, Nash, Lynch, Jacobs, Fremouw, Campbell, Bastian, FOURTH ROW: Pitcher, Vanderbrook, Nye, Comstock, Young, DuRei. FIFTH ROW: Werts, Moyer, Bird. STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council, now an integral part of our school government, was started over a decade ago to serve as an executive arm of student government and to help alleviate some of the demands made on the Administration. It consists of five officers elected from the school at large and six more members, one representative from each class, plus the advisor, Miss Turner. The Student Council monitors lunch lines, selects assemblies, and settles matters of importance to the school. SEATED: Scofield, Sessions, Secretary; Fenyn, President; Years, Tierson. STANDING: Sherman, Muth, Marsh, Dayton, Miss Turner, Renick, Vice-President.
