While seldom taken seriously he does occasionally succeed in making his presence felt by means of his financial wizardry. At the Judgment when all accountants books are checked Butch may become a mem- ber non-gratus of the class of 58, An excellent student Earl still man- ages to find time to take part in several extra-curricular activities. As well as be- ing a member of the Science Club and the Rifle Team he has managed the Football Team for the past three years. Of invaluable assistance to the team one of his main duties has been the cleaning of cleats. While this is not a remunerative position, Butch has been rewarded by having been made the team mascot. The cry of Here, But- chine is often heard reverberating across the fields of conquest.

Newark Since his arrival at Newark Academy in the sixth grade Mike has managed to keep a consistently high scholastic standard In spite of this he has not permitted academic activities to stand in the path of outside endeavors As well as being active in Intramurals Mike has found time to add his slam to the Tenms Team not altogether to its detri ment as shown by his membership on the Ivy League championship team With a flair for math and a liking for the sciences he has hopes of becoming an engineer Some of his experiments in Science Club would make Academy history if stringent measures had not been taken The previously mentioned ability in math is in great demand be fore each Math V exam In spite of constant cries of plagiarism Mike is always willing to help others striving to master the science of numbers ACTIVITIES Intramural Football Drama Club Cheerleader Dance Committee Minuteman Swimming Science Club Page 22 ACTIVITIES Photography Editor Polymman Varsity Tennis Secretary Science Club Intramural Football Intramural Basketball Intramural Volleyball Microphone Club West Orange After a short interlude in the West Orange School system Dick has re- turned to Newark Academy for his Senior year. It seems as if he had never departed from our hallowed halls. There may be those who claim that Dick is still wet behind the ears. This can be attributed to his activity with the Swim- ming Team, where his ability to stay afloat is deeply appreciated. Other achievements include participation in the Drama Club and the Science Club as well as the Dance Committee. Rich hopes to take a business course in college. After he takes his degree he plans to go into lawg if his ability to procrastinate is continued, we suggest that he will be remarkably successful in his chosen profession.
