While seldom taken seriously he does occasionally succeed in making his presence felt by means of his financial wizardry. At the Judgment when all accountants books are checked Butch may become a mem- ber non-gratus of the class of 58, An excellent student Earl still man- ages to find time to take part in several extra-curricular activities. As well as be- ing a member of the Science Club and the Rifle Team he has managed the Football Team for the past three years. Of invaluable assistance to the team one of his main duties has been the cleaning of cleats. While this is not a remunerative position, Butch has been rewarded by having been made the team mascot. The cry of Here, But- chine is often heard reverberating across the fields of conquest.
