I I Form O This year the Academy has witnessed a marked improvement in its' athletic teams. Indeed, Mr. Stallings and Mr. Jost have done a fine job in their first year at the Academy in turning out such well-trained scrappy teams, The football season was indeed a successful one. The Academy was represented by a team which fought until the final whistle blew. There were many spectacular and breath-taking plays, as Bob Andrae's 40 yard run for a touchdown against Barnard in the opening game of the season. Gasps and cheers rent the autumn air as a capacity crowd watched Johnny Koplitz race 100 yards for a touchdowns against Flat- bush Academy. The Pingry game aroused much excitement, and hopes for an Academy victory ran high. However, the Academy was de- feated, but it had gone down fighting. The basketball season was a success, judging by the number of games in the victory column and the ardent support of the student body. Many exciting games were witnessed in the Academy gym- nasium-games which made the blood of every Academy student tingle with excitement. '
