51701 PI PHI Haying completed her 65th year at NYM.-X. Pi Phi found the honds that maintain the spirit of hrotherhood within the House growing stronger than eyer hefore. The warmth of this spirit has increased since the found- ing of the Eta Chapter in H389. and we are confident that it will continue. thereby ensuring the high standards so long associated with Pi Phi. At the end of last year. elections were held and Dick U'Loughlin was elected to the presidency. He was ahly followed in that ofhee hy ljugene Pargnoli. who was yoted the Pi Phi Cup for seryice to the lfraternity at the end of the year, ,ltlrl hefore Christmas furlough we had our annual supper meeting. with llr. Seymour at the piano for carols. G. rl-an f' ifgagh ln campus af-tiyilies. the insuperalnle spirit of the House enahled the hasketliall team to capture the trophy. On this team were .-Xrt Homer. Uwen Orr. t2opu'i and Sunder llamnani, and Toni Nlctliyney. The Pi Phi swimming team. led hy tleorge Claihorne and ltill Hunt as co-captains. took second place in the lnterlraternity Swimming Nleet. losing first lvy a yery small margin. Once again the spirit at this exent was indicative of Pi Phi. Throughout the year Pi Phi was well-represented in varsity and intramural sports. :Xt the end ol the year llanny liar:-ia was ioted President and joe Sellyei tice-President.
