'A' 1515, um' lrizmlriwl ffiirli-ina 'k 'lr 'A' Intramural Football N THE heart of every American youth lives the desire to play football. He craves the excitement of the action, the physical contact and the strategy which the game involves. In the past it has been difhcult to give every cadet an oppor- tunity to play football because much of the thought and super- vision given to this game was directed upon the Varsity Team in order to make a successful season. This year it was decided to put every able cadet to playing football. An intramural program was arranged consisting of three leagues, Senior, In- termediate, and Junior. These leagues each played a series of games for the championship of their league. The coaching was provided by the instructors, who in many cases showed real ability in their Work. The intramural system was a success from the beginning and great enthusiasm was shown. Not only did it provide recreation for the whole corps but it uncovered and developed much good football material which will be valuable for future varsity teams.
