The upper six grades take turns sponsoring' the programs. These programs include talks by local and out-of-town speakers, picture shoxxs, plays, c'ass room demonstratioi s, comedy stunts and many other features. The Carnival started at 7:00 P. M. with a masked parade. Those winning' prizes were Charles Barker, Eileen, Vernon and Marylen Bowman, and Ca'vin Kitchel. After the parade they had the erownirg' of the Carnival Queen at 7:20. The Queen was Betty Parish, a Sophomore. Her attend- ants were Agi es Howell, a Senior, and Ellen Flory, a Sophomore. Betty was crowned by the King, Charles Barker, who is a Senior. The Queen presidezl over the Minstrel given by the- boys' glee club. After the Minstrel was over everyone was invited to the gym, where there were various kirds of events, such as Basket Ball Throw, Bingo, Cake Walk, Spill the Milk, Penny Toss, Confetti, Wishing Well, Fish Pond, Canning' Sales. The Most Popular Mar was Charles Ba1'ker. The public responded admirably, and judging' from finances, people liked our efforts.
