uiUnioir:Seniioir' Trip The Juniors and Seniors went on a trip April 11th and 12th, 19-10. The class agreed that they would go to southern Indiana. And also that Mr. Murphy would drive the lllls on the trip. They left Peru early in the morning of the llthg taking State Road 31 into Indianapolis. They stopped at the present capitol going through the Fapitol Building and Butler College. After a short stay at Indianapolis, they took State Road 31 down to Jeftersonville, goiiTg through Edinburgh and ditterent cities on the way, including a stop at Mr. Eugene f'anady's home at Laurel. At .letjfersonville they went through the State Retormatory. From Jettersonville they erossed to New Albany. There they stopped for a short time at the home ot Mr. Dallas Pearsy, former eoaeh of New Xvaverly. They reaehed Wyandotte Fave before night where in a near-by woods they had a weiner roast. After the weiner roast, they went down to the former state capitol, l oryd0n where they remained t'or the night. There they saw the Fonstitutional Elm. In the morning they journeyed to Santa Claus and also stopped to see the Nancy Hanks liineoln Memorial. Their next stop was at Vincennes, the old state capitol. Leaving Vincennes, they took State Road -11 going through Dugger and Sullivan to stop at Terre Haute for lunch. After dinner they tool: State Road 40 through Putnamville where they stopped and went through the Boys' Reforniatory.
