WAIT-llilli CLASS PRQPHECY or 1966 l'he othcr eyenrng while srttrng around I begin to get drowsy and I saw 1 cilend ir dated May 20 1966 We decided to take a trrp around the world by all mean of transportation when the car broke down and we took rt to Richard Clarks garage He said the car would he ready wrthrn an hour so we decided to browse around a while Suddenly we saw a flash of light What a hre' VVe rushed around the corner and to our surprise we saw Jack Krebs the fire chief standlng there directing the men After the Irre we decided to go and haye something to eat We went to State Street into one of Tony s famous lunch wagons The Mercure Pot of Gold 'Iea Shop H came oyer to the table and gaye us a hearty greetrng He told us of the new committee of the P T A made up of three local housewry es Mrs Bob Randolph Mrs Bill Manzr and Mrs Brll Spooner the former being Bet y Fowler Frances Hollabaugh and Gerry Irpp respectryely We attended the meeting and heard Senator Charles Schmidt give a talk on modernizing scyeral ot hrs large farms We then got tickets to see the Don Spooner program whose 'lctrons reminded us of the late Bob Hope After the program we vrsrted Etta Mae Bowers famous dress shop While there we met Illa Mae Green the well known dancer who told us of her plans to revise Jrtterbuggrng that had dred out fifteen years previous We then went to Madison Square Gardens where Marilyn ONe1l manager of the world s champion basketball team and her girls were playing After the game she told us that she would get us tlekets to see State play Cornell Naturally we accepted the trckets but we wanted to see the Whrtehouse hrst to see the new rocket ship so we went by trarn to Washington D C While tourlng the capital we ran into C race Pike the Presrdents prry ate secretary She told us that shc could cut some red tape that would enable us to go on this trrst trrp on the new ship that went 1000 mlles per hour That afternoon when we boarded the plane rmagrne rmagrne who the pllot rs we were dumbfounded as she took us forward to the cockpit where she told us the prlot and the head executive of the factory M O R S were talking oyer last mlnute details We went rnto the cockpit and the pllot Roger Hall greets us Then Eyelyn Smith the woman executrye of the atomic rocket plane factory told us the trrst trip would be to the moon After we got back from a yery enjoyable trip to the moon we hired a hellocoptor and went to see the Ohro State Cornell basket ball game While there we had dinner w 1th the basketball coach Ramon Berger and Don Unger thc football coach told us they expected to wrn eyerv game of the next season We then took an ocean lrner to Europe rn order to hear .lulra Srmplrcan the opera star sing her English yersron of the opera Carmen On the way oxer as we danced to Ed Galbreaths dance music we heard that this was hrs last trrp oyer because he had a two year contract to play at the Paladrum We also met Dolores Bacon the famous vocal teacher who was taking some seven pupils to hear the opera After we left England we w ent to yrsrt Ina Leffel one of our friends who was dolng magnificent work as a Lhrnese mrssronary On our way back to America one of the children got srck so the captain called Bernard Mahl the ships doctor and hrs nurse Mary Jane Jepson After a thorough examlnatron they told us that lt was merely a case ol bemg home sick We were all quite tired when we trnally got homc We wcnt trrst to one of Jane Lopes stores and got some groceries We then wcnt to Clarkson which IS now famous because of Marre Holes beauty salon People come to her salon from all oyer the world We went to Welce land Farms to get some milk and Bob Welce show ed us hrs farm We were pretty tired so we spent the night at Pauline Copes Ritz Hotel rn Negley Ohro 4 ' ,.
