C , . , FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY September 3. 1945, was a bright sunny day-an important one for fortyethree Freshmen who were to become rhe class of l949. Ir was then that boys and girls from Clarkson, Rogers, Oak Grove. and New Waterford met for the first time, to enter their high school career as Freshmen in the New Waterfcmrd High School. Under the sponsorship of Mr. Charles Haas the following class officers were elected: President, Mary Ann Casperg Vice-President, Steve Brancherg Secretary, Virginia Lee Shivelyg Treasurer, Dolly Krebs, The first big social event of the year was the party given in our honor by the upperclassmen. Ir was in October that we entertained the upperclassmen at a Hal- lowe'en party. L5ne year of high schol is over: the Freshmen year. Ir has been a year filled with fun, experiences, excitement and even a few disappointments. There are three years ahead. three important years, Xve have so much to look forward to in the future. ve
