111941 15 SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Cn August 31 1947 fifty tour persons entered the portals of New Waterford Hrgh School under the name of Freshman We were organlled by our sponsor Mxss Phillips We elected our ofhcers as follows Richard Clark President ames Sxmpkms Vice President Illa Mae Green Treasurer and Mary Lou Shaw Secretary The upperclassmen gave a party ln our honor and ln return we gave them an A11 Hrgh Hallowe en Party We concluded our year with the Freshman play Coming Around the Moun tam under the able direction of Miss Platllxps We met again ln September 1943 with forty three of the ortgtnal number of pupils Vlr Haas was our sponsor this year and as an and to htm we elected Edward Galbreath as President Richard Clark as Vice Prestdent Dolores Bacon as Treas urer and Pauline Cope as Secretary We Sophomores presented our class play Who Murdered Who under the direction of Miss Phtlllps We lost three members of our class to the Armed Forces this year ames Sump kms Wxllts Henderson r and Lloyd E Dunn enlisted in the Navy sponsor for the year was Mr Alltson We elected officers again and they were as follows President Bernard Mahl Vlce President Richard Clark Treasurer Pauline Cope Secretary Marxlyn O Nell Actlvttxes Committee Donald Unger We presented the play os Boys under the dxrectton ol Mxss Rapp m November We were busy throughout the year making money ID order to give the Seniors a prom This junior Senlor Prom was the biggest event of the year Wmth the capable assistance ol Mxss Rapp tt proved to be a great success We know the Dream Castle theme will long be remembered by both classes e the class of 46 opened our Senior school year with twenty eight members left Under the sponsorshlp of Mlss Mary Shoemaker we elected class ofllacers Prestdent Dtck Clark Vice Presldent Bernard Mahl lnreasurer Mary Jane epson Secretary Dolores Bacon Actnvltxes Committee Donald Unger Next we decided to present the Senior play The Phantom Bells on May 10 Commencement and Baccalaureate along wxth manv other events will long be remembered bv all or us 13 - -a ' S 1 ' I K , 5 - K 1 - C. - h g 1 : ' .
