Ollia Ramey Treasurer ............... Robert Studer Student Council ....... ..... B ill Kaple, Ann Yanka, and Dan Kehres Class Sponsor ......... Mr. Hershberger On September 7, 1954, twenty-eight Freshmen began their long journey through Dutchtown High. The officers that year were: President, Linda Altg Vice-President, James Kehresg Secretary-Treasurer, Kenny Niedermierg and Class Sponsor, Mrs. Grace Lininger. Their first big experience was a terrible one, because initiation that year required that they should come to school attired in bathing suits with burlap sacks as beach coatsg also hip boots. They enjoyed a roller skating party at Bucy- rus. Boys in the Freshman class having athletic ability were: Bobby Studer, Chuck Evans, Bill Kaple, and Gary Gardner. Diane Fike supported the team by being a cheerleader. The class officers for the Sophomore year were: President, Diane Fike, Vice- President, Robert Studerg Treasurer, Bill Kapleg Secretary, Ollia Ramey, and Class Sponsor, Herman Hershberger. This year two new members came to Dutchtown. They were Joe Pifher and Mary Laser, making the class total 30. By having two bake sales and a car wash they started their climb toward the goal they have set for a Sen- ior Class trip. They held a roller skating party and a party at Bill Kaple's home, and with this they concluded their Sophomore year. Starting their Junior year the class total dropped to 28 with Lois Heydinger and Mary Laser leaving. Still working toward their goal the class held a car wash and sold refreshments at the basketball games. In the athletic department they have great ability in Danny Kehres, Jim Kehres, Bob Studer, Chuck Evans, and Bill Kaple. Diane Fike was a varsity cheerleader this year. The class enjoyed a Christ- mas party at the home of Gary Gardner. This spring they presented their class play, 'iIt's a Date, which was a huge success. Lots of luck next year, kids!
