It was a huge success. 7-Went to Tiro. Lost reserve game but won the varsity game. 10-G. A. A. meeting. 11-Basketball game with North Robinson. Won reserve game, lost varsity. 14-Played basketball game with Mt. Zion. Won reserve game and lost the varsity. 16-Messiah. 18+Game at Whetstone which we won both. Good work, boys! 20--Moved into the new school building. It was a nice Christmas present. 21--Class in morning and a movie in the afternoon. School was dismissed at 2:00 for ghristlrnas vacation. The Senior girls icnjoyed a shorthand party. Thanks, Miss renc . 22-Christmas vacation started. 28-G. A. A. Dance. JANUARY 2-School resumed. 4--Played Lykens here, reserves won and varsity lost. 8--Played our first game in the new gym with Nevada, which we won both the re- serve and the varslty. Student Council meets. 11-Went to North Robinson. Won the reserve and lost the varsity. 14-G. A. A. meeting. 15-Played Tiro here. Lost the reserve game and won the varsity. 17-Senior Scholarship test at Bucyrus. Vo-Ag. Scholarship test at Bucyrus also. 18-Basketball game with Sulphur here and got beat both games. 21-College Club meeting at Leesville. 22-Played Plymouth there and lost both games. 25-Leesville journeyed here for three basketball games. We won all three. 28--Wrestling matches. 28-Exams. 29-Played basketball with Mt. Zion, here. Won reserves and lost the varsity. FEBRUARY , 1-Played Chatfield here. Won both games. We held our first annual Homecoming. Barbara Rothschild was chosen queen and her attendants were Mary Ann Kim- mel, Dolores Mason, Ann Kimmel, and Roberta Osborn. Student Council spon- sored a dance after the games. 5-Traveled to Lykens. Lost reserve game, won the varsity. 6-School dismissed at 11:15. County Teachers meeting. 7-Seniors went to Fostoria to the Dicken-Wonders Studio and had their graduation pictures taken. 8-Played Holmes-Liberty there and lost both games. Last game of regular Season. 11-Group and individual pictures taken. 12-Played North Robinson in the tournament and won. 14-Won over Chatiield in the second game of tournament play. 19-Got beaten by Holmes-Liberty in the semi-finals. 21-Beat Whetstone in tourney. Octet here from Bluffton College. 22-No school. 23--We beat Mt. Zion in an overtime game to gain third place in the county. New Washington was awarded the Sportsmanship trophy. Paul Fike was chosen for first all county team and Allen Heydinger for the second team. We are now in the Sectional Tournament at Mansfield. Paul Fike was also chosen for the All- State second team. MARCH 1-We won over Greenwich in the first game of the sectional. This game was one of the most exciting of the season. 2-Sulphur Springs defeated us in the sectional. This game closed out the basket- 'ball season for New Washington.
