QW '- The class has gained and lost mem- bers through the years, but six of the original class has remained together. They are Linda Beckett, Patricia Clai- ser, Jack Handly, Gary Morey, Mary Putney, and Jim Reed. We began the freshman year with 24 members but during the year we lost Kay Hood, Nancy Woolson and Harry Spence which left us 20 at the beginning of our sophomore year. The sophomore year was successful with a gain of one, Anna Mae Ellis. During the junior year we lost Margaret Weeks and again had a membership of 20. Two boys dropped out at the start of the senior year, Jerry Belwe and David Denny. However, Fred Hartmann joined us. Out of the 19 graduating, Anna May and Fred are the only ones who were not initiated into the NVHS. Thou many of our paths may never cross again we shall never forget our friends in the class. And as the years go by we shall have many fond reconcilations of the happy carefree years we spend at the New Virginia School. Senior Class of '58

,xl .Fw d ,.4 f . W - U 1 1 nt The class of 1958, being a very gregarious group, have had many successful joint projects. One of the most outstanding of these was the successful launching of an earth orbiting satillite which was aptly called Spooficial. One of the most outstanding and advanced mechanisms of this space satil- lite was its 'prognosticator'. Of all the data accumulated from this device, we consider the follow- ing to be the most factual. For the year 1968 Spoofnic recorded: The former Ruth Houlette is now Mrs. Charles Spence and is settled down on a nearby farm with her four children. are very happy and are often visited by Mr. Sn 'ght Green and family. Mary Putney is now private secretary to the President of Sears and R??ebuck 8: Co. and is en- joying her work very muqgii. Q Fred Hartmann has seived his time in the army and is construction e igineer in his spare time-- when he can't find Carolyim available he is chief comedian on Spoofnick. Shirley Allen is privatQ secretary to James Reed, the first Democrat' President of the United States in sixteen years. Larry Jones is earning is living by selling can openers. He is very successful because of his great ability of exaggeratin facts. Mary Louise Kibbe is no parking towards her first million. ..:,, ree dependents are slowing her down a bit but she is makilf g very good progress. Gail Vickroy is now the slfve manager of Sharon Berry. Tgwey ar both very happy and Gail is enjoying his lazy life very gfXuch.4,iSharon could think of better 'glpipgs tixkrhlo but she loves Curly and will do anything for him. ..,.. .... , Anna May Ellis is nogfajpery happy nfa-eggs?-'S wifeimygghifh farmerwimmnot say because things are beginning to haze Qyiewgsind we cannot cleairlymsieewwho the lucky one . V the packing house Ila McClelland iii now teaching history in Missouri at a school not far from here she and her Missourian husband make their quarters. Here the records are rather blurred but from the sideburns, guitar, monkey wrench and a little imagination I would judge that this is Floyd Kibbe. Jack Handley is nqpghappily married to Judy Camp and earns his livin it aughtering hogs at Spoofnic's compiled data strongly indicates that all nineteen members of the Senior class of 1958 will become successful in their various endeavors, making good use of the schooling obtained at NVHS.
